Well, we finally made it.

The 2021 college football season is officially underway as Week 2 is upon us - following an awesome Week 1 of action that featured many marquee matchups.

Don’t look now, but Alabama is once again atop the rankings and the Georgia Bulldogs are right behind them at #2, moving up from #5 after beating Clemson in Charlotte, NC, a game that set back offensive football 5 years. Was it great defense or terrible offense? Luckily we have 13 more weeks to figure that out.

If you have been a long-time supporter of Punt & Pass, Aaron and I appreciate you. Since 2017, we have enjoyed building this podcast and the community that follows along as we enter our 5th season. To say it has been a passion project is an understatement. We love talking football, pontificating from week-to-week, and experiencing the highs and lows of the season behind the mic. There have been live events, countless shoutouts in person, merchandise sold, partnerships made, and hilarious comments that show your passion alongside ours. Over 2 million downloads later, we are still loving it. Thank you!

Over the last 4 years, plenty of of opportunity has been presented to us, aimed to help continue growing Punt & Pass. While we have been hesitant to proceed, this upcoming season felt different. If you live in the Atlanta area, you most likely find yourself tuning into sports radio 680 The Fan during the week to get your fill on what’s happening in the sports world. “The College Football Voice of the South” is a station that focuses heavily on our favorite sport every fall, and when they expressed interest in helping produce and distribute Punt & Pass, we knew there were many synergies at hand.

After discussions with 680 The Fan and Southern Sports Today, among others, we decided that partnering with a local (and regional) sports station would fit best with our audience, and reach the demographic that most enjoys Punt & Pass.

So - it’s official. Aaron and I are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with 680 The Fan, Southern Sports Today, and the Podcast Park. Our megaphone will expand throughout the southeast via syndication on SST, you will hear us weekends on 680’s airwaves, and the production of our weekly podcasts will sound much more professional.

The best part? All of the content for Punt & Pass stays the same. Our YouTube videos will continue to be posted. PrizePicks (shoutout PrizePicks, promo code PUNT) has agreed to be a season long partner. Our social channels remain true @PuntandPass @DrewButler @aaronmurray11.

This is a stamp of validation on what we started back in 2017, and we know that this move will only help us in remaining the best college football podcast in the country. 5 years strong, and we ain’t stopping now.

With all of that being said, it feels right to thank you one more time. If you have any suggestions, tips, or ideas for Aaron and I, please let us know. Comment below, hit us on social media, or write us an email. None of this is possible without you, and we don’t take it for granted.

Don’t forget to rate, review, and subscribe (obviously)! And we will talk to you next week…see ya!
